I've had to get over some things that have happened in my childhood knowing that my children want to experience these things and don't have the same apprehension about them as I do. It's been difficult but liberating at the same time - getting over things. I've just found myself pushing through something that's difficult even if it hurts. I'll cry about it later, but I'm not going to allow my kids to miss out on something that's has no negative value to them. Thanks for sharing that though ... it was really interesting to think about!
